O Taekwon-do |
Násilí v každé své podobě přináší nutně zlo a bolest . Lze však odsoudit všechny jeho formy? Jak se zachovat, když se staneme svědky brutálního ponížení člověka člověkem, když bychom chtěli pomoci, ale bojíme se? Je to správné? Jdeme dál a jsme rádi, že to nepostihlo nás samotné. Samozřejmě to neplatí ve všech případech, ale ve většině to je pravdivé zhodnocení situace a našeho jednání. Žáci Taekwon-Do vědí, že nesmějí svých znalostí boje a sebeobrany zneužít v nesmyslných pouličních rvačkách, vědí, proč je jejich mistr učí ovládat své tělo a myšlení. Vědí, že je jejich povinností pomoci druhému, byť neznámému člověku, který se dostane do pozice utlačovaného a nespravedlivě trestaného. Proto se učí bojovat, aby takovému člověku mohli přispěchat na pomoc a obhájit ve jménu slabšího jeho práva, nastolit spravedlnost. K tomu použijí svých znalostí z bojového umění Taekwon-Do, ovšem jen v takové míře, aby obrana byla adekvátní útoku. Snahou bojovníků Taekwon-Do není zabít, zmrzačit či ublížit, ale zneškodnit s pomocí co nejjemnějších prostředků agresivního útočníka. I proto se na trénincích Taekwon-Do učí začínající bojovníci ovládat celé své tělo do nejmenších detailů, učí se a stávají se opravdovými pány svého těla. Vědí, jak použít své přirozené zbraně, aby mohli stát na straně spravedlnosti a nesklouzli na této kluzké hraně za hranice útočného násilí. To vše je korejské bojové umění Taekwon-Do, umění, které vás dovede k novému a lepšímu pohledu na svět.
Taekwon-Do je moderní korejské bojové umění zaměřené především na obranu. Skládá se ze tří tisíc dvě stě přesně popsaných pohybů, úderů, kopů, seků, úhybů, pádů a podmetů. Dá se předpokládat, že je jedním z nejvyspělejších bojových umění vůbec.
V Taekwon-Do rozlišujeme dvě nosné linie: fyzickou a psychickou. To vyplývá jíž ze samotného názvu. První část slova "TAE"je označením pro kopy a práci nohou, "KWON" symbolizuje údery pěstí, rukou a třetí část "DO" skrývá opravdové umění, umění nalézt správnou cestu životem, nezkaženou životní filozofii. Zatímco duchovní principy vycházejí z tradičních etických, estetických
a morálních zásad Dálného východu, potom veškeré "fyzično" staví na principech moderní vědy, především na Newtonově fyzice, která nás učí jak správně koncentrovat do krátkého okamžiku maximální sílu. Taekwon-Do není jenom uměním rozvíjejícím pouze fyzické schopnosti a dovednosti, ale je také cestou ke zdokonalování myšlení, sebeovládání, naplňuje sebeuspokojení a zdravou sebedůvěrou; vede k nenucené přirozenosti. Klade nároky na rychlost a přesnost myšlení.
Taekwon-do je neodmyslitelně spjato s postavou jeho zakladete generála Choi Hong Hi
Jen velice málo lidí se stalo ještě za svého života legendou. Korejský generál CHOI HONG HI, tvůrce moderního umění sebeobrany Taekwon- Do, mezi ně právem patří. Narodil se 9. listopadu 1918 v malé korejské vesnici na severu země. V té době byla Korea dlouhá léta okupována Japonskem, což nesli všichni Korejci velice těžce. Choi již jako velice mladý aktivně bojoval za osamostatnění Koreje, zač byl také vyloučen ze školy. Později ve svých 19 letech odjel do Japonska, aby zde se svými vrstevníky studoval na univerzitě. Zde se setkal s japonským bojovým uměním karate, kterému se několik let věnoval pod přímým dohledem zakladatele stylu Shotokan, mistrem G. Funagoshim. Pod jeho vedením získal 2. dan. V Japonsku jej také zastihla 2. světová válka, ve které byl jako Korejec donucen bojovat v japonské armádě. Z ní zakrátko společně s několika dalšími korejskými přáteli dezertoval, nicméně byli všichni posléze zajati a následně odsouzeni k smrti. Pouhé tři dny před popravou však Japonsko kapitulovalo, což mu jistě za- chránilo život. Ihned po skončení 2. světové války se vydal Choi do Soulu, kde s pomocí americké armády stál u zrodu právoplatné korejské armády. Vzhledem ke svým znalostem karate (korejsky Tang Soo) a korejského Taek Kyon od počátku prosazoval zařazení výcviku bojového umění i v armádě. Avšak svědomí a hrdost mu nedovolovaly vyučovat v Koreji japonské bojové umění, neboť Japonsko jeho zemi tak dlouho a tak krutě utiskovalo. Proto začal na základě svých zkušeností a ve spolupráci s několika dalšími korejskými mistry bojových umění i vědci tvořit umění zcela nové, vhodné pro korejské vojáky. V červnu 1949 dostal Choi rozkaz studovat vojenskou školu pro pokročilé ve Spojených státech. Po jejím ukončení se vrátil zpět do Soulu, kde jej také zastihla korejská válka (1950-53). Během ní se stal Choj generálem jihokorejské armády. Po jejím skončení se v září 1953 stal zakladatelem 29. pěší divize, která byla později známá jako "pěstní divize". Kombinací vojenského drilu s výcvikem bojových umění se stala v korejské armádě zcela unikátní. Její vojáci byli připraveni bojovat jak se zbraněmi, tak i bez nich. Základy nového bojového (válečnického) umění Choi dokončil po 9leté práci v roce 1954. Za tu dobu se však již značně odlišilo od japonského karate i korejského Tang Soo a Taek Kyon. Proto generál Choi navrhl pro toto bojové umění zcela nový název. Památného dne 11. dubna 1955 je tak v Soulu představil světové
veřejnosti jako Taekwon-Do. V té době bylo generálu Choiovi teprve 37 let. Následně v roce 1959 sdružil 6 největších korejských škol bojových umění do jedné národní organizace, Korejského svazu Taekwon-Do. Stal se také jejím prvním prezidentem. Generál Choi měl vždy veliké přání, aby se jeho Taekwon-Do začalo vyučovat i mimo armádu a také mimo území Koreje. Proto velice často podnikal propagační cesty do zahraničí a všude kam přijel, si Taekwon-Do ihned získávalo značnou popularitu. Je zajímavé, že jednou z prvních zemí, kde se začalo Taekwon-Do vyučovat, bylo i západní Německo. Aby se mohlo Taekwon-Do dále volně šířit po celém světě, byla 22. března 1966 v Soulu založena Mezinárodní federace Taekwon-Do (ITF), jejímž smyslem je přibližovat Taekwon-Do jako moderní umění sebeobrany lidem celého světa. Zároveň byl vy- tvořen jednotný systém soutěží s přesnými pravidly i disciplínami a ujednotila se také kritéria pro získávání žákovských a mistrovských stupňů. Zaklá- dajícími členy byly Korea, Vietnam, Malajsie, Singapur, západní Německo, Spojené státy americké, Turecko, Itálie a Egypt. Organizace se jen během prvních dvou let rozrostla na třicet zemí. Prezidentem ITF se stal generál Choi Hong Hi. Koncem 60. let se při návštěvě Spojených států setkal generál Choi s tehdy ještě po- měrně neznámým Brucem Leem v jeho restauraci, kde mu generál Choi udělil čestný I. dan.
Bohužel v roce 1972 byl generál Choi společně s mnoha svými mistry nucen odejít ze své rodné Koreje do exilu v Kanadě. Hlavní příčinou tohoto rozhodnutí byl nátlak úřadu jihokorejského prezidenta Park Chung Hi, směřujícího do pře- tvoření Taekwon-Do na politický nástroj, s čímž generál Choi naprosto nesouhlasil. Jeho myšlenka byla, že Taekwon-Do je pro každého bez rozdílu a bez podmínek. Od té doby žil generál Choi mimo Koreu. Sídlo ITF se přesunulo nejprve do Kanady a později do neutrálního Rakouska. Jihokorejská vláda se však nechtěla smířit s faktem, že Korea přestala být centrem ve světě již tolik populárního Taekwon- Do, a proto náměstek prezidentské ochranky dr. Un Yong Kim dostal příkaz převzít Korejský svaz Taekwon-Do a následně založit novou mezinárodní federaci Taekwon-Do, která by měla ITF přímo konkurovat. V květnu 1973 tak vzniká za podpory jihokorejské vlády Světová federace Taekwondo (WTF).
Další etapou ve vývoji Taekwon-Do (ITF) byl rok 1974, kde se v kanadském Montrealu konalo 1. sportovní mistrovství světa v Taekwon-Do. Od té doby se jich uspořádalo již 12. V roce 1980 navštívil generál Choi poprvé od svého odchodu do Japonska v roce 1937 také Severní Koreu, aby i v této zemi představil Taekwon-Do. Přelomovým rokem v životě generála Choie byl jistě rok 1983, kdy poprvé vydal své životní dílo, ucelenou patnáctidílnou encyklopedii Taekwon-Do, která obsahuje více než 4000 stran informací o Taekwon-Do. Tato encyklopedie se dočkala několika reedicí a dnes ji zná skoro každý student Taekwon-Do. Před několika málo lety, v září 1999, se stal generál Choi prezidentem Mezinárodní federace IMAC (lnternational Martial Arts Comity), která sdružuje všechna významná bojová umění z celého světa. Bohužel pro nás všechny generál Choi Hong Hi nedávno, 15. června 2002, v korejském Pchongjangu ve věku nedožitých 84 let zemřel.
V současné době se Taekwon-Do vyučuje ve 145 zemích celého světa a patří mezi nejpopulárnější umění sebeobrany na světě. To vše díky jednomu muži, který pro nás toto umění sebeobrany vytvořil a bez ohledu na rasu, vyznání, národnost nebo ideologii je celý svůj dlouhý život vyučoval po celém světě.
